Apache Kafka for Beginners - Learn Kafka by Hands-On

This course will take you through the Kafka concepts, step by step. We will first explore the internals of Kafka from a theoretical perspective, then we will use our hands to explore the Kafka internals. Next, we will build the Kafka Producer to send messages to Kafka via the producer API. Next, we will learn about the different configurations that guarantee message deliverability into Kafka. Finally, we will build Kafka Consumers to read messages from Kafka via the consumer API.

The next section will cover consumer groups, consumer rebalance, offsets for consumers, and the various strategies consumers have to make the offsets.

Next, we'll learn about consumer balance listeners. They are responsible for cleaning up before partition revocation and performing initialization tasks during partition assignment. Next, we will learn about the different methods the consumer uses to obtain a different offset.

And finally, we will code and learn how to build custom Serializer/Deserializer and integrate it into our Kafka Producer/Consumer.

You will have a solid understanding of Apache Kafka by the end of this course and be able to create Kafka Consumer apps using Java.
