Anyone who is interested in conspiracy theory will find this course useful. Many people believe conspiracy theories such as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Or that AIDS was intentionally created by pharmaceutical and government companies. Also, that the World Trade Center was not destroyed by planes but rather by a controlled demolition arranged by the United States National Security State. These claims are so outrageous. What can we make of them? These claims are a reflection of our society. What do these ideas say about our societies? What is the best way to understand these ideas in context? How do they relate to other objectively proven conspiracies? What is the best way to know if a conspiracy was actually acted upon? These questions will be discussed together via short videos and quizzes to check your comprehension of the material. We'll also discuss some final projects in which we will make our own conspiracy theories.
