Course Description

We will create a vehicle that transforms during this training. The car can drive and fly. The vehicle will be built from the frame to the thrusters on the back. Then, we will apply a full set of UVs that will allow you to bake key textures as well as paint dirt or details. After the car has been built and painted, we will create a simple rig that shows the transformation. The final step is to apply advanced shaders such as chrome, glass, and car paint. This tutorial aims to demonstrate that creating any type of vehicle, whether it's a car, van, or plane, is possible with just a basic rig. You will be able to create, shade, texture, animate and animate complex vehicles by the end of the tutorial. These skills can be used to improve your knowledge and continue learning as you work on other projects. Software requirements: Silo 2.2 and Maya 2014. Adobe Photoshop CS6.

What You Will Learn

2, maya 2014, adobe photoshop cs6

By the end of this tutorial you will have mastered the basic skills needed to build, texture, animate, and shade a complex vehicle

Once the car is built and colored, we will then look at creating a simple rig to show the transformation

Skills which you can then improve and expand upon as you work on many future projects

Software required silo 2

We will begin by fully building the vehicle from the body right down to the thrusters sitting on its back

We will then apply a complete set of uvs which will enable you to bake key textures, as well as paint dirt and details to bring it to life

We will then finally apply advanced shaders like car paint, chrome, and glass

What we hope to show you with this tutorial is that creating any vehicle, be that a car a van or a plane, with a simple rig, doesn't need to be a complicated task
