Course Description

English for Career Development is a University of Pennsylvania course that was funded by U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Office of English Language Programs. Click on "Enroll Nowa" to enroll and select the full course. There is no certificate.

The course is for English-speaking non-native speakers interested in improving their career in global markets. This course will teach you about how to apply for jobs in America, as well as the interview and application process. You'll also compare and contrast the process with your country. You will be able to discover your international career path and improve your vocabulary to help you achieve your professional goals. This course's first module will explain the U.S. application process, and give strategies to identify the right jobs for you. Unit 2 will guide you through how to create a professional looking resume. Unit 3 will help you create a concise and clear cover letter. This unit focuses on interview and networking skills.

This course is open to all. Please complete the Financial Aid Form to receive a Coursera Certified Certificate.
