Course Description

This Fixed Income Fundamentals course will cover the fundamental products and players of fixed income markets. We will discuss key characteristics of bonds such as coupon, par value, yield curves and credit spreads. We will then calculate the price for a bond using discounted cash flow and determine the relationship between its yield and price. This online course covers fixed income topics such as clean prices, dirty prices and accrued interest. We will also explore bond risk measures such as Macaulay duration and modified duration, dollar duration and convexity. These risk measures will be used to calculate price sensitivity to yield change changes.
