Course Description

Healthcare professionals can find it difficult to detect poor health or support people with intellectual disabilities in managing their own health. This course will provide valuable information that you can use in your everyday practice to help people with intellectual disabilities be included in health assessments. The IDS-TILDA longitudinal study, which is the most comprehensive study of ageing and intellectual disabilities in the world, will help you expand your knowledge and provide the foundation for new techniques.

The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland has accredited this course. This independent statutory organization regulates the Irish nursing and midwifery professions. The CPD Certification Service has accredited this course, so it can be used as evidence of your professional growth.
