Course Description

The Quick Start to Modeling with 3ds Max is a series that has been carefully designed and created to be followed in a specific order. It also includes valuable exercises to reinforce concepts. We will cover 3ds Max modeling in a systematic, step-by-step manner. This will allow you to quickly get up to speed. Each volume of Quick Start builds upon the previous volume. This allows us to build a complex project from scratch. This volume will cover the basics of 3ds Max modeling. We will discuss box modeling and get familiar with the most common tools for modeling in 3ds max. We will learn the reasons behind every modeling decision and which tools are more suitable for certain situations. We'll finish the course with a basic dumpster prop, which we will use in our final story. Although these lessons will help you build a project, it won't give you the power to apply the techniques to your own work. You'll receive an assignment right after each volume. These assignments will require you to apply the skills you have learned in a volume to another asset. Software required: 3ds max 2014.
