Course Description

All things on the planet are interconnected. This is true for human society and all organisations. You must understand that there is no one system that works in isolation. If you are looking to create sustainable change, you must also realize that everything exists as part of a larger system.

This ExpertTrack will provide you with the tools and knowledge to analyze complex systems and put this into practice. You'll also learn systems thinking methods that can be used to create effective change.

Only positive, practical actions will lead to a sustainable future. Systems thinking can be a key part of driving the changes you need to achieve your goals and those of your organization.

This ExpertTrack covers the theoretical and methodological aspects of Symbiosis in Development, (SiD), which is the first framework for integrated sustainable growth. You will learn the analytical skills and practical tools to solve any complicated societal problem you may face in your practice.

The SiD framework is a tool that allows us to analyze and design complex systems. It shines light on opportunities often overlooked and has the potential to bring about sustainable change across many disciplines and specialisms.

These 3 courses are complementary and will help you to learn SiD Theory SiD Method, System Mapping.

This extended SiD theory course will provide you with a deep understanding of SiD theory, and help you put this knowledge into practice.

SiD is a five-step process that guides a project from goal setting through execution and evaluation. It provides practical tools for improving the sustainability of your system.

The systems mapping course will help you understand complexity and put it on paper. These courses together will equip you with the theoretical and practical skills necessary to make a lasting positive impact.

We can build a more sustainable future by applying systems thinking to the enormous sustainability challenges that we all face.
