Course Description

A recent study found the following: 37% of teenagers claim to have low mental wellbeing. This course is designed to combat this issue by bringing together the most effective knowledge of the Dr. Laurie Santos' popular Yale course Psychology and the Good Life. In this class you will learn the things that psychology can teach us about how to become more content, feel less stressed and to be successful throughout the high schools and even beyond. The lessons, along with the brief daily 'happiness homework' assignments will help you apply these findings to application. The goal is to help you be healthier and feel better, as well as develop healthier habits. Teachers, parents and other professionals who support teens may also find the course useful. Be aware that this course will do not award Yale University grade, credit or status as a student. THE SCIENCE OF WELL-BEING FOR TEENS WAS PRODUCED IN PART DUE TO THE GENEROUS FUNDING OF THE ARTHUR M. BLANK FAMILY FOUNDATION AND THE JOHN TEMPLETON FOUNDATION.
