Course Description

The second course in the XR For Everybody specialization focuses on how to create new user experiences using XR technology. This course teaches learners design thinking and provides them with a basic toolbox to create XR apps using rapid prototyping. The course begins with a general overview of XR design, including how to get started, the different routes to creating XR experiences, what it takes, and how you can do that. While the course emphasizes design thinking and critiques as well as ethics, it also introduces guidelines and user-centered techniques such design jams. The second part of the course introduces a range of tools and methods for prototyping, both digitally and physically. This includes immersive authoring and the XR devices.
