Course Description

Windows servers may look the same as Windows clients on the surface, but servers perform different tasks than clients. This course explores these distinctions. This course Windows Server Administration Concepts: Server roles will teach you how to configure and install the most common roles that come with Windows Server. You will first learn how roles differ from features and which administrative tools can be used to configure and install server roles. You will then learn about file and print servers as well as application servers, Web servers and remote access servers. You will also learn how to transform Windows Server into virtual machines. After completing this course, your skills and knowledge will allow you to choose, install, and understand all the different "hats" Windows Server can sport. You will also be ready to explore storage, Active Directory performance, maintenance, and more in future courses. This course aligns with the Microsoft Technology Associate certification track.
