The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), an art museum, is located in Midtown Manhattan. It can be found on 53rd Street, between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenues.
It is often regarded as the most important and influential museum of modern art worldwide. MoMA's collection includes works by artists of all mediums, including architecture, design, drawing and painting, sculpture, illustration, books and artist books, film and electronic media.
MoMA Library contains approximately 300,000 books, exhibition catalogs, more than than 1000 periodic titles, and more that 40,000 files of ephemera on individual artists and groups. These archives contain primary source material that relates to the history and present of contemporary art.
