A commercial analyst generally works in a typical office environment during normal business hours, although overtime may be required depending on the needs of the business. These professionals may be employed by one agency permanently or work as a contractor for multiple organizations.At minimum, most employers will require applicants to possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, as well as five to 10 years of experience in financial analysis. Relevant certifications may be preferred as well.
