Directors of global sourcing hold management responsibilities for all supply chain functions of a business, including overseeing all purchasing activities, setting priorities, and developing strategies for procuring material and services while minimizing the use of company resources.Directors of global sourcing generally work in office environments and often have a number of subordinate employees, which can include area-specific sourcing managers as well as individual buyers.
