Auditing or accounting associates are generally responsible for auditing and recordkeeping within their organization. They examine financial and accounting records to verify their completeness and help make recommendations to their employer. The associate is also responsible for testing internal accounting and auditing controls to ensure they are working properly. The day-to-day responsibilities of an auditing or accounting associate include examining and researching their organization's accounting records to ensure financial procedures are followed, preparing internal and external financial audit reports, and presenting these reports within their organization and to the clients.This position is generally full time, although schedules may vary depending on the time of year and job location. Time is spent primarily in the office interacting with other members of the finance team and other employees within the organization. Auditing or accounting associates typically report to an auditing manager or the chief financial officer (CFO).Auditing or accounting associate jobs generally require at least a bachelor's degree in accounting and a minimum of three years' experience working in a finance environment.
