Customer service assistants are responsible for completing customer service tasks and assisting with other administrative duties as required. They interact with customers and work to resolve their inquiries. Additionally, these assistants must help create and maintain business relationships with individuals inside and outside their organization to increase customer satisfaction. Customer service assistants must follow strict company rules and strive to reach objectives set by supervisors. Some of the assistant's other principal duties include reviewing discrepancies, filing documentation, and keeping records of customer transactions. They also respond to customer correspondence and create reports.Customer service assistants generally work in a store and/or sales environment with regular interaction with customers. They report to the service team leader in their organization. They must work effectively in a team setting to reach company goals and work effectively independently as well. They also must regularly demonstrate excellent time management skills, be able to meet daily productivity goals, and be detail oriented.
