They are also required to oversee the completion of all visa and immigration documents and ensure that they reach the appropriate governments within given time-frames. During this process, they must ensure that all information provided by the client is accurate and up-to-date, and they also collect and disperse any payments or fees required by local or foreign governments or authorities. They must always maintain friendly and professional working relationships with clients and may be subject to nonstandard hours of work.A high school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English are required for this position, and the ability to speak a second language is beneficial but not necessary. Aspiring immigration consultants must also be able to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines on teams with other employees.
