A business banking officer is responsible for conjunctions of new bank relationships and watching over client portfolios. Most of the job involves working closely with, and becoming the primary connection for, a retail branch.The job is generally on-the-road and consists of venturing out to clients to secure information regarding deals made. The banking officer must be able to create strong relationships and maintain their clients' loyalty. Throughout the job, he/she is required to understand all of the bank's staff and partners in order to supply as much information as possible to the client.The banking business officer is a middle-man between deals made with the bank and the assets offered by the bank. It is incredibly important that this officer stays within protocol and keeps both sides of the equation happy. It is a mental blend of working with clients and keeping strong relationships within the bank staff itself, and the basic goal is to make as much money as possible.At the office, the banking officer is required to make out-calls with weekly and monthly target goals.
