The Senior Staff Accountant is a key position within our finance department, responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role requires a highly experienced and detail-oriented individual who possesses strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, reviewing general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness, and assisting in the preparation of annual budgets. They will also oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all necessary adjustments and accruals are recorded in a timely manner. This position will be involved in various financial analyses, such as revenue and expense analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting. Additionally, the Senior Staff Accountant will collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, provide guidance and support to junior staff accountants, and assist with internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with at least five years of progressive accounting experience. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is required, and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
