Do you want to learn 3D animation and be able to create your favorite characters in the best animation studios?

This course is for you. You don't even need to know anything about animation.

We'll start with the basics of animation and then you'll learn step-by-step how to create entertaining and credible animations.

The classes are very clear, precise, and didactic. They include examples from real life and professional animations.

Demonstrations and exercises will be provided to help you assimilate new concepts. This will allow you to learn faster and facilitate your learning process. It will also teach you the importance to pay attention to small details.

The course covers everything, from how to animated a bouncing ball to the mechanics of the character. It also teaches you how to create pantomime animations and unique, original, entertaining, and special characters.

  1. Animation basics: Timing and spacing, how you start and stop movements, inertia, settlement, overlap, visual archs, stretch and stretch and anticipation. Step-by-step animations of how to animated a bouncing ball and a pendulum.

  2. The staging: Introduction to staging, the point-of-attention, the cameras and camera cuts, camera framing and camera angles

  3. How to create good poses: The source of force, perspective, orientation, the silhouette, avoidingsymmetry, the line-of-action, the golden poses and balance, weight, strength and moving hold.

  4. How to animate the different parts: hips, torsos, feet, knees. shoulders, head, neck, elbows, arms. The difference between IK and FK.

  5. Step-by-step instructions on how to create walk cycles that are credible

  6. The 5 stages of animation: Reference, Blocking, Blocking +, Splines, Polishing

  7. How to make a character who thinks for itself: The 7 questions, the personality curve and the primary and secondary actions.

  8. Tips to make your animation more appealing: Use exaggeration, analyze timing and repetition, cheating, as well as how to create more appeal.

  9. Blender technical guide to animate as a pro: How to open Blender for the very first time, how you can configure Blender to animate more quickly and easily, the viewports and the timeline, the graph editor and the outliner, how you use the property editor, how to light your scene and how to use the XPose picker. How to insert audio and create constraints.

  10. + Access to a private group for feedback and animations from your colleagues

The course is over.

You will be able to create unique animations that engage your audience by animating characters in a credible manner.

(Though the course exercises are done in Blender but you will be able to follow them if you know MAYA or another animation program. The course doesn't focus on Blender but rather the ART of animating.

This course is unique because you will learn from professionals animations and unique films.
