Create & use your own custom Arrowheads to add exciting elements and elements to linear graphics with Adobe Illustrator in just a few clicks*.
Adobe Illustrator's arrowheads are a great tool that makes it easy to transform your graphics. They can be used to make simple stroked lines more interesting or even illustrative. Let's be real, the default arrowheads in Illustrator are terrible! But wait! You can make your own custom arrowheads that don't have to look like arrows.
Evgeniya Rigini-Brand is my name. I'm a graphic designer who is always on the lookout for ways to make repetitive or technical tasks easier and more enjoyable. My design workflow has changed dramatically since I created my own arrowheads. I'm thrilled to share this secret opportunity with you, so you can also unlock the potential of Illustrator's Stroke options!
You can customize any type of vector artwork that has open paths by creating and using custom Arrowheads.
This class will teach you everything that you need to be able:
- Make your own functional arrowheads
- Use them in your work to get the most of them
- Manage your arrowheads so that you don't overcrowd your Stroke Panel.
This class is for Illustrators, Pattern Designers , and anyone who enjoys using linear graphics in their work. It also covers basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (mainly using the Pen & Shape Tools -- if you want to learn more about Adobe Illustrator, our class Creating Trendy Abstract patterns in Illustrator).
Arrowheads are a fun and quick way to add an extra dimension to your graphics. I can't wait to see your custom arrowheads, and how you use them in the work that you do!
Join me in this class and let's create something amazing!
Making your own arrowheads is as time-consuming as any other presets. However, once you have created them you will be able to easily modify the appearance of any strokes in any of your designs.
When you need to add graphics at the ends or make sure they follow the path, custom arrowheads can be extremely useful. Although it's not something you would use if you only need to style one line, if you have multiple lines or need to quickly and easily repeat the styling on other lines, arrowheads are a great option!
