Course Description

This Maya tutorial will show you how to use the XGen system within Maya to create fur and animated mesh. While we'll cover many tools within XGen, our focus will be on the Groom- and Spline features. We'll learn how to create fur and convert texture maps to Ptex maps compatible for XGen. Also, we will learn how to add secondary dynamic motion to fur with modifiers. We'll also learn how to render the results using mental Ray. You will be able to create static and moving fur for your characters with XGen in Maya by the end of this Maya training. Software required: Maya 2016, Zbrush 4r7, mental ray.
