This class will teach you how to create a digital planner with vector shapes in Affinity designer!
Affinity Designer is my favorite tool for creating planners. It's so easy to create exact shapes, space them evenly and add vector effects to the shapes. It is also easy to add dates and keep the numbers aligned.
As a class project, you can choose to make a dated or undated planner. I'll show you both options and discuss the pros and cons of a dated planner vs an undated one.
You'll receive a workbook with section ideas and color palettes when you watch the class. I'll show you my completed planner so you can play with the links and customize sections before you start creating your own.
We'll first look at creating buttons and icons. Then we'll cover how to add effects such as glow, glitter, shine and shadows. We'll show you how to use Affinity Designer's precise movement tools to create perfectly spaced lines, boxes and buttons.
We'll show you how to create custom sections and stickers so that you can design a planner that is easy to customize for your customers or yourself! ).
The class will cover all aspects of the process, from designing your layout to creating individual stickers pages in Goodnotes. This class is easy to follow even if you don't know much about vectors or Affinity Designer.
The planner you created in this class can be downloaded for free, sold on a site such as Etsy, or used by you!
You will need your iPad and Affinity Designer to take this class. If you prefer to work in a different vector program, you could also use Vectornator. So, let's get started!
