Course Description

This UDK tutorial will show you how to create an open-world landscape in UDK. First, we will learn how to create a landscape. Next, we'll look at the main tools that can be used to modify it. We will discuss how to block out the main forms of our landscape as well as how to duplicate existing formations in order to create new ones. Then, we will finish our landscape construction by learning about erosion tools and alphas. Next, we will wrap up the course and learn how layers can be used to apply materials to our landscape. We'll then finish the training by learning how to manually paint materials. Software required: Unreal Development Kit Beta (February 2013 Beta).
