Course Description

This course teaches learners how national cultures influence international human resource management, marketing, and business in general. This course covers international culture, marketing, and human resource management (HRM). Although this may seem like an odd combination of topics, international marketing and HR management are heavily dependent on the culture of each country. It is difficult to manage and sell to people without understanding their culture. The first module examines the many factors that determine national culture as well as the characteristics and dimensions of a nation's cultural identity. The next module examines the different organizational structures that are appropriate for international business. Next, we will discuss the HR challenges associated with managing international employees. The final two modules will examine the challenges and opportunities of international marketing across countries and cultures.
