Course Description

This short online course by Coventry University will help you identify and develop the skills necessary to manage cultural change as an executive leader. You will be able to reflect on cases about international leadership and learn how organisational culture affects leaders' responsibilities.

You will be able to better understand leadership skills necessary for managing and recognising culture within your organization by studying theories such as the Global Leadership and Organisational Behaviour Effectiveness study (GLOBE), and Hofstede's five dimension of culture. This course will teach you how leadership and culture are closely linked.

We examine the role of the leader in the design and management of culture within organizations, and compare various leadership styles to understand the importance and value organisational culture for strategic management.

This training will give you a better understanding about how culture can help businesses compete. This short course will explore the perspectives of leaders and examine how they manage cultural change within organisations using different leadership styles. This course will allow you to compare and contrast organisational culture between countries using the GLOBE study as well as Hofstede's five dimensions.
