Course Description

This tutorial will explain how to build models in Softimage 2014. We will start by looking at the different types of geometry that are available. We'll show you how to organize your model in hierarchies, and keep it clean and efficient. We will also look at various modeling tools such as extruding and cutting edges to increase resolution, and surface tools such loft and revolution that create smooth surfaces. We will also discuss how to smoothen models and how to use deformers. We won't be covering all the Softimage modeling tools. Instead, we will focus on the ones that you find most helpful as you start the modeling process. You'll be able create your own modeling solutions once you understand how the tools interact. Download our Key Modeling Terms Reference Book and PDF for additional information. This will help you to become familiar with key 3D modeling terms. Softimage 2014 is required software
