Course Description

Wireshark, a powerful utility that allows network engineers to view network communications in real-time, is a remarkable tool. It is supported by the community and is available for free! This series will cover all the basics of Wireshark, including how to use Wireshark for network protocol analysis. We will first examine Wireshark's actions during packet capture. Next, we will explore the various options for capturing traffic. This includes using the command-line interface on systems to capture traffic. Wireshark extracts the headers from each packet it captures. This allows you to view the headers at each layer. This series will examine ARP, ICMP (used for Ping), TCP and HTTP as well as Telnet and SSH.
