Course Description

Inventor is a mechanical CAD software that offers incredible functionality. This course, Inventor - Working with Curves & Splines, will teach you the basics of Inventor's 2D and 3-D curves. You'll first learn the differences between continuity and surface options in Autodesk Inventor. Next, you will be introduced to Class A surfacing. After you have a good understanding of curvature you can create many 2D sketches to explore different curvature types. Next, you will learn how to create interpolation splines and convert each spline. Finally, you will understand the differences between good and poor curvature. You'll also learn about equation driven curves and the types of industries that will use them. Finally, you'll understand the Bridge Curve. Next, we'll explore 3D. We will show you how to create different curves, both inferred and sketched, and how they can be applied to complex models. You will be able to draw complex curves by the end of this course. Software required: Inventor.

Skills You Will Gain

What You Will Learn

Additionally, you'll explore equation driven curves, what types of industries will make use of them, along with understanding the Bridge Curve

By the end of this course, you'll be comfortable with all aspects of complex sketching curves

Finally, you'll move into 3D and cover how to create various curves, both sketched and inferred, and how to apply them to complex models

First, you'll begin by learning the difference between the surface and continuity options available in Autodesk Inventor, and an overview of Class A surfacing

Next, you'll discover the creation of interpolation splines, how to convert each spline, analyze the curvature, and understand the difference between good and bad curvature

Once you have an understanding of curvature, you'll create several 2D sketches to explore various curvature types
