Course Description

Course 3 continues the previous course and will teach you how to use tools that you need for your daily work. This course introduces you to many essential command-line tools that are commonly used every day. Next, the course focuses on bash programming - you'll learn how to create scripts and automate very complex tasks. This course examines files and filesystems. It focuses on how to compile programs in Linux using gcc, other compilers, as well as using different libraries. The course also examines Java's working in Linux and explains why you don't need to worry about Java programs being easy to use in Linux. Course 3 concludes with a discussion on how to build packages from Linux software.
