Course Description

Did you ever find it difficult to modify large assemblies in your CAD program? This course, Onshape Top Down Skeleton Modeling- Creating an Excavator arm, will teach you the skills and techniques needed to build your own top-down, sketch-driven assembly. You'll first learn about the benefits of different modeling techniques such as bottom-up, middle out, and master model top-down. Next, you will learn how to create a kinematic layout drawing that uses top-down skeleton modeling techniques. This allows you to validate your design intent and drive individual 3D parts. You'll also learn how to assemble the parts and how to update your assembly. After completing this course, your knowledge and skills in skeleton top down design techniques will allow you to create your own mechanical designs. Software required: Onshape.
