Course Description

These courses can be taken for academic credit under ECEA 5600-55602. This is part of CU Boulder's Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Register here. You can enroll here. This course will show you how to create such optical systems using simple graphical techniques. Then, transform your pencil and paper designs into real optical components, including lenses, diffraction gratings, and prisms. These designs can be entered into the industry-standard OpticStudio from Zemax to improve performance and analyze them with powerful automated optimization methods.
