Course Overview
Post Graduate Program in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design and Analysis is primarily designed for job seekers, but professionals switching from the Mechanical to Electric Vehicle (EV) domain can also immensely benefit from this program. This Post-Graduate (PG) certification in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Design and Analysis program is the first of its kind in India.
It is an 8-month-long program that trains you in all the essential engineering concepts and tools that are used by top Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to design future electric and Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) vehicles. Course Structure
It is taught online by experienced faculty members, and one can do the course at their own pace. The curriculum of the program includes 4 modules.
The course is divided into two semesters:
In Semester 1, the focus is on the basics of Matlab and Simulink, along with the basics of any designing software programs. It contains
- Matlab for Mechanical Engineers
- Simulink for Mechanical
- Development of Hybrid Drives using Matlab and Simulink
- Introduction to Battery Technology using Matlab and Simulink
Semester 2 has two mandatory courses; you can select different tracks afterward:
- Course 1 - Preprocessor for Structural Analysis using ANSA
- Course 2 - Python for Mechanical Engineers
- Track 1: Computational Fluid Dynamics
- Track 2: Finite Element Analysis
- Track 3: Computational Design
- Track 4: Multi-body Dynamics

Assessment and Grading Criteria
The assessments can be taken only once. After each chapter, there will be assessments to be completed and graded by the mentors. These are basically on software-based challenges that learners have to complete before going to the next topic. Notes are given only if it's a course where we require basic knowledge of mechanical data. Otherwise, the rest of the required information is on presentations and recorded video sessions.
All the sessions are an average of 1 hour and a maximum of 2 hours. No examination is compulsory for the certificate course. To get a verified course completion certificate, learners must have completed all the course lectures, assignments, and technical projects.

Final Take
Currently, I am working as a Product or Design Engineer in the Healthcare Additive Manufacturing domain. This course helped me design more easily with less material wastage and also helped me to do some analysis on the designed products.
