Course Description

Cargo handling is a comprehensive operation that entails multiple steps carried out under rigorous supervision to convey products from one location to another. This free online course will teach you the principles of cargo handling, the many operations involved, and the vessels and containers used for goods transportation. The duties and responsibilities of those who oversee and streamline this process will also be discussed. To begin, we will define the role of a cargo handler and examine their responsibilities during the procedure. The qualifications for becoming a freight handler in the United Kingdom will also be discussed. Various cargo goods are transported on different cargo ships or vessels, depending on the object's categorization and other standards that determine the cargo vessel's decision. The vessel types and their characteristics will be explored in depth. Cargo is mostly transported by two modes: sea and air. We will study the differences between the two modes, as well as the standard operating procedures for each and how to maintain them. Next, you will learn about the methodical process of cargo preparation and numerous safety and security precautions. Finally, the legal obligations will be discussed. This course  is appropriate for entry-level cargo handling personnel or individuals who aspire to pursue it as a career. Enrol right away!
