Course Description

Once you have carefully planned your project for patient safety and quality improvements, it's time to get started. Students will be introduced to the unique challenges involved in implementing, maintaining and expanding a quality and patient safety initiative. The 4E model and TRiP will be used to help students develop specific goals for their QI projects. Students will also develop a plan that addresses the technical and adaptive challenges they face in their projects, including whether or not their proposal should be submitted to an Institutional Review Board. Students will also develop plans to expand their QI project into an entire system-wide project.
