Course Description

The success of wireless Internet is largely due to content. The Snapdragon(tm), a mobile platform, has special hardware and software capabilities that make it easy to acquire, process and render multimedia content efficiently and economically.

This course will teach you the basics of audio and video codecs that are used to create media content for iTunes, Google Play YouTube, Netflix, YouTube, YouTube, Google Play, YouTube, YouTube, Netflix, and other platforms. This course will teach you how to optimize quality and media bandwidth using file formats and codec settings. You can also use these settings in the development of a basic media player app.

Learning goals: You will be able:

1. Describe the tradeoffs that media quality and bandwidth are making for content delivery.

2. Extract metadata from media files and display it.

3. Demonstrate and implement a media player application with DragonBoard(tm).
