Course Description

This tutorial will show you how to use AutoCAD. It's a great way for you to become familiar with the software. You and I will work together on a small project. We'll be learning how to navigate AutoCAD's User Interface, and getting a better idea of where and what tools are available within the software package. We'll then learn how to draw, modify and organize our objects and geometry into color-coded layers. Each layer has a unique set properties that we will be able to edit. After learning how to work with geometry, we will learn how annotate our drawings using text, dimensions, multileaders, and other tools. Once we have a basic floor plan, we will learn how to use layouts and viewports to present and document the design. You will be able modify and draw geometry, organize your work in layers, annotate drawings, and present your work using title blocks templates and layouts. Now, let's get started! I look forward to meeting you in the next lesson. Software Required: AutoCAD 2016.

Along the way we'll learn how to navigate AutoCAD's User Interface and get a better understanding of the location and also types of tools available to us within this software package

By the end of this course, you'll be able to draw and modify geometry, organize your work into layers, annotate your drawings, and even present your work using layouts and title block templates

Finally, once our basic floor plan is complete, we'll learn how to present and document our design by working with layouts and viewports

From there we'll learn how draw, modify, and even organize all our geometry and objects into color coded layers, each with a unique set of properties that we'll learn to edit

So with that, I'm ready to get started, and I'll meet you in the next lesson! Software required AutoCAD 2016
