Introduction to Hair and Fur in Houdini 15

This course will cover Houdini 15's Hair and Fur toolset. The Hair shelf tools are first examined. We will then take the time to learn how they work and how to use them for creating the initial building blocks of hair or fur. The grooming tools will be explored and we'll learn how to use the onscreen brushes to create various hair styles. Modifying the Mantra Textured Hair Shader will allow us to create different looks for one groom. We will discuss the "Best Practices" of rendering Hair and Fur, and then we'll wrap up by discussing how to add dynamics to hair and fur. This lesson series was designed for artists who have a good understanding of 3D concepts and an understanding of Houdini.
