Oracle BI Publisher is a reporting solution that allows you to create and manage highly formatted documents such as operational reports, government PDF forms, shipping labels, and more. A data model is a key component of BI Publisher that contains instructions for retrieving and structuring data for reports. The data model editor supports various components like data sets, event triggers, flexfields, lists of values, parameters, bursting definitions, and custom metadata. Report designers can design layouts using tools like the Layout Editor, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and more. Different layout types such as BI Publisher layout, RTF, PDF, Excel, XSL Stylesheet, eText, and Flash are supported for generating different types of output documents.
