Course Description

If you're looking to expand your knowledge about Six Sigma, or refresh your knowledge on the basics of Six Sigma and Lean, this specialization is right for you. Employers are looking for Six Sigma skills both locally and internationally. These skills are proven to improve performance and quality, as well as business processes. This specialization will teach you proven principles and tools that are specific to lean and six sigma. This specialization is sequential and linear in nature. It covers the basic content at the "yellow belt level" of Six Sigma (and Lean). Before you can move on to Green Belt, which is offered by the USG here on Coursera, you must have knowledge of Yellow Belt. Green Belt knowledge is required before you can move to a Black Belt. This specialization follows a proper sequence: Course #1 – Six Sigma Fundamentals Course 2 - Six Sigma tools for measure and define Course 3 - Six Sigma tools for analyze Course 4 - Six Sigma tools for improve and control At the end Course 4, (Six Sigma tools for improve and control), there is a peer reviewed capstone project. This project must be completed successfully to complete the specialization. The learner does not receive "professional accreditation" for Six Sigma by completing the Yellow Belt Specializations. Successful completion of the Yellow Belt or Green Belt Specializations will help you prepare for professional accreditation testing.
