Course Description

This course covers data and various data types. It also explains how to design databases that can store data and create and manipulate data using SQL. Students will be able describe business intelligence and its differences from data science and business analytics, perform basic statistical analyses and communicate their findings, and distinguish between different types of statistics by the end of the course. They will be able also to define normalization, ETL, create an electronic design diagram (ERD) that shows the progression from conceptual to practical, logical to physical, define DDL, DML and TCL, as well as write SQL scripts to create a table and database.
