Course Description

Flowers are one of nature's most beautiful creations. It is also the easiest medium to paint with, such as watercolors. Each project will include a demonstration of how to use different techniques, such as wet-on-wet, wet-on dry, background washes, and others. We will discuss the materials and the techniques involved in painting the final projects.

Techniques:

  • Background washes – Wet on Wet with variegated wash methods
  • Painting petals - Use controlled humidity to paint each petal area.

Materials required:

  • Arches 300gSM A4 Size Paper (highly recommend)
  • Any brand of watercolor you have
  • Silver Black Velvet Brush (4 & 6 mm)
  • Mop Brush (Size 2)
  • Watercolor Palette
  • Masking tape (1 in.
