Goethe University is one of the main public universities in Frankfurt, expanded across four campuses in and around frankfurt. Goethe University is operated in 4 dynamic campuses, located in Bockenheim, Westend, Riedberg, and Niederrad. With a park-like ambiance, surrounded by picturesque garden structures, the Westend Campus is well equipped with state-of-the-art lecture rooms, bear gardens, Faculty of Law, Economics, social sciences, and Humanities. Reidberg Campus houses the science faculty, Laboratories, academic buildings including geography, physics, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biology, and geosciences. Niederrad Campus comprises a medical faculty and a university hospital. The campus is undergoing a refurbishment and expansion and will be soon equipped with modern buildings. The studentenwerk is an organization that runs cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, and lower prices at all five campuses. Johann Christian Senckenberg University Library is the central library at the university that has departments such as the art library, the law and economics library, the humanities and education library, the medical library, and the library center of Natural Sciences. Zentrum für Hochschulsport or center for university sports provides its students and faculty members access to more than 40 sports including fencing, gymnastics, badminton, basketball, judo, karate, and skiing, etc.
