Aeronautical Engineer

An aeronautical engineer designs or builds aircraft, missiles, systems for national defense, or spacecraft. They are responsible for analysis and design, research and development, manufacturing, and the federal government.

• Aircraft Production engineers: They support the base maintenance production area with heavy maintenance inputs, including Production engineering work packs, Estimations, and Dock control duties.
• Air safety officers: They implement, plan, and coordinate safety and environmental programs and ensure they comply with mandatory regulations, procedures, and policies with a focus on aviation.
• Flight Mechanics Engineers: They control the installation of cabin airflow, air conditioners, engine power, and advanced electrical system in an aircraft.

The roles and responsibilities of an Aeronautical engineer include the following:

• Designing, repairing and advancing air and spacecraft, facilities, materials, and safety regulations; manufacturing processes using scientific, mathematics, and engineering principles.
• Analyzing aircraft, spacecraft, and rockets to determine and resolve potential problems and to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and functionality requirements.
• Developing, reviewing, and improving facilities, production methods, and safety procedures and supporting distinct projects or providing technical advice.
• Designing and assembling propulsion systems, control panels, computer systems, guiding systems, and other essential parts and systems; establishing safety and quality standards, timelines, and budgets and ensuring projects that comply with these regulations.

Major educational qualifications required for Aeronautical Engineer are:

• Candidates must complete a bachelor's degree program, usually in aerospace or aeronautical engineering.
• Students typically begin their education by enrolling in core courses in mathematics, chemistry and physics.
• Additionally, most programs require students to complete introductory labs in which they test engineering principles applied to flight and propulsion.

Some of the recruiters from the government sector/defense sector are Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Defense Research and Development Laboratories (DRDO), Air India, National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL), civil aviation department (DGCA). Other departments of the government sector recruit aeronautical engineers as Graduate Engineer Trainees.
