Teachers teach students in various grades based on their designation and assigned role. With the highest possible level of patience, dedication, and compassion, the teacher teaches in the most convenient and simplified way at this stage. Designing the curriculum, lesson plans, teaching methods, and setting a timetable are the basic responsibilities undertaken by a teacher.

Some of the roles performed by a secondary school teacher are:

• Class Instructor: Assesses each student's performance in that particular class and guides the student to achieve better results; Communicates the same to the parents.
• Head Teacher: Divides the work among the other teachers; Designs the lesson plans for teachers according to the curriculum.
• Vice-Principal: Designs and manages the daily schedule of all the classes; Designates substitute teachers in case of absence of other teachers.
• Principal: Oversees the school's administration; Recruits the teachers and admits the students.

Various roles and responsibilities of a teacher are as follows:

• Evaluating the students' answer sheets in tests and examinations; assessing the student's performance by conducting class tests.
• Observing the student's behavior and advising them on any needed changes; Guiding students academically to learn and imbibe good habits.
• Designing curriculum and lesson plans; Organizing the books and study materials and preparing for the classes on the previous day itself; Delivering or teaching the concepts using technology-aided teaching materials.
• Organizing inter-school competitions, workshops, and exhibitions to provide better student exposure and inculcate competitiveness; Constructively participating in staff meetings by giving valuable input for development.

Major educational qualifications required for Teacher are:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Teaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade level.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and students.
• Experience developing and implementing curriculum.
• Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the room.
• Proven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum.
