Description

Associate directors of non-profit organizations are tasked with assisting their organizations' directors and are responsible for developing strategic plans related to fundraising, donor recognition programs, events for major donor societies, public events related to fundraising, and other endeavors. Prior managerial or supervisory experience and a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or another relevant field are generally required for this position.

These associate directors should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as computer skills to organize records and use database programs, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and their organization’s computer system. They must keep track of multiple prospects and existing donors and work within established budgets to meet fundraising goals.
