IT (IT) instructors are responsible for preparing and implementing educational sessions based on technology for their company. They help develop curriculum and provide guidance to staff to develop training programs. Their main responsibility is to show others how to operate computers correctly and other hardware devices. they also teach how to operate and troubleshoot applications in order to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

IT trainers also conduct group discussions and offer their knowledge when it comes to selecting the training materials to be used for both employees who are new or current. To succeed, IT trainers need to be able to be able to speak to large groups of people at one time. In addition they should be able to use tools for presentation such as presentations, handouts PowerPoint video and presentations to create effective and captivating presentations. IT trainers should also utilize their skills in communication to collaborate with other professionals and play a the role of mentor to improve the satisfaction of trainees. They create and review tests to ensure that trainees understand of the training materials, and also assist trainees on a one-to-one basis when required. They generally communicate their performance to the manager of information technology or the supervisor of their department. Usually, IT trainers create project-based assessment of learning that is effective for those who are not technical members of their group.

An undergraduate degree from an information technology field or in a related field is required to be considered for this job. Additionally, experience in training as well as leadership experience and certifications are a plus.
