Admissions managers oversee the admissions nurses of a hospital or other medical facility to ensure that patients are admitted in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. They also serve as liaisons between hospitals and facilities in the event of transfer.

Requirements for admission manager positions include a current registered nurse certification as mandated by the state in which they work, as well as two or more years of clinical healthcare experience.
