Course Structure

At the beginning of the course, UX Design, common terms, tools, and frameworks in UX Design are introduced, and how to join design sprints is taught. After clearing the fundamentals, the course teaches how to empathize with users, define the pain points, and ideate solutions. Then it moves to the process of story boarding and wireframing. This topic covers paper and digital wireframes and is followed by planning, conducting, analyzing and synthesizing the research results. Then, how the visual design principles and high-fidelity designs are created, tested and iterated based on the user feedback is taught.

Insider Tips

To get the best out of this course, I have included some important tips that you might find useful.

Prepare Notes

Note down the important points and go through all the glossaries given at the end of the week. It will help a lot to recollect all the things taught in that particular week.

Assessment

Each assessment took me around 10 to 20 minutes to complete but this may vary according to the learner’s reading speed and understanding of core concepts. All the study material provided by the course is helpful and clears almost all the doubts related to UI/UX design. It also helps prepare for job interviews. The frequency of the assessments taken during the course helps revise the concepts and test knowledge.

Placement Assistance

After the course completion, we receive access to an exclusive job platform where we can easily apply for jobs.

Final Take

On completing my Google UX Professional Certification, I grasped many core concepts in UX design and learned to conduct research and optimize my questions to gain more feedback from users.

The entire course helped me in expanding my knowledge of the entire design process from empathizing to the iteration process. I also gained information on how to apply foundational UX concepts: user-centered design, accessibility, and equity-focused design. I also acquired knowledge on understanding the basics of UX research: planning research studies, conducting interviews and usability studies, and synthesizing research results.

I would blindly recommend starting your UI/UX Design journey with this course, as it provides all the information which you require to learn in a very smooth and concise way. The video lectures and notes are lucid, and the pace of this course is comfortable.

The course is user friendly for differently-abled learners, too, as it has an option for enabling captions in video lectures and downloading video transcripts.

As this course deals with a field in growing demand, learners can also expect a salary hike post-completion.
