By the end of the course, learners will have a solid understanding of computer networking and be able to use their knowledge to design, implement, and troubleshoot computer networks.

Insider Tips

To get the best out of this course, I have included some important tips that you might find useful.

  • Assessment/Grading Assignment

Every week, there will be 3 chances to submit the quiz answers in 8 hours. If 3 attempts are over, then after 8 hours, you can submit the answers again. This course increased and strengthened my base knowledge of Networking and how things work. Exams and Quizzes are designed in a way that while looking for answers, you go through the study material once again (the best way to make sure that the trainee revises important topics once again before moving ahead to the next topic, of course). The assignment for the third week was a tough struggle, I had to go through both the previous 2 weeks' material to submit that assignment, but during the submission of this assignment, I realized the innovative concept of the course design, as mentioned earlier.

  • Content Delivery

The scripts were good, but more visuals would be helpful. Also, more description of some of the vocabulary would be nice. Glossary may be needed. Overall, awesome job, Google, and great work, Coursera! Now that I work in online education at my university, promoting it broadly, I know that the competition is fierce from you guys. This is a good thing. Learning should be affordable and mobile. The course teaches you the basics of networking needed to understand how it works as a whole. Apply yourself to these terms and concepts, and you will gain knowledge that is presented in a very understandable way. Watch and re-watch the course videos; I promise it will all start making sense!

Final Take

I was in my second year of BTech while studying this course. This course was helpful for computer network specialists during interviews. This course covers the most popular technology among developers.

Computer networking is an interesting and growing career. Organizations across industries require computer networking professionals to develop, troubleshoot, and protect their critical computer systems. In addition, computer networking offers a wide range of potential career opportunities for those who enjoy technology.

Computer networking will continue to rise in popularity as technology advances. Computer networkers are needed in virtually every industry that exists today. This means you can choose where you want to work and what industry you want to specialize in. For example, you can choose healthcare, financial services, education services, or even entertainment. The opportunities are plentiful, giving you flexibility in your career.

Technology continues to advance daily and makes it easier for you to obtain the new job you are looking for. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the need for computer network architects will increase by 5% between now and 2029, which is faster.

Organizations need computer networkers to keep their data and computer systems safe and secure. They require networks to serve their customers better and move their business forward. As a computer networker, you will be able to assist these organizations with all that. So, I chose this course with the highest rating.
